What is Cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is using the internet to put someone down or hurt someone elses feelings. Some times people cyberbullying to seek attention or to take revenge on someone. People can cyberbully any time they want because you only need a device like a phone and the internet. The bullying can be done though posts or texts etc. They can be abusive texts or embarrassing posts.

What Cyberbullying looks like

Cyberbullying is someone wanting to put someone else down. They do it by posting pictures or videos, or though texts. They could post embarrassing videos or text nasty or mean comments.

What to do to try and prevent Cyberbullying

Firstly talk with your child and see how they are going with the bullying. Secondly make sure you are reassuring them and will not punish them by taking away their device. Thirdly tell your child to save all the stuuf the cyber bully is doing to you. Next tell your child not to respond to the bully. Also tell them to be careful with giving out there phone number to others. 

When to know if the Cyberbullying has gone too far

If the cyberbullying turns into the bully sending texts with threats/harms or them wanting to hurt you or have a fight. That is when it's time to call the police because it might invole breaking the law.
